Education
Rob Eissler knows that while children may be only 25% of our population, they are 100% of our future. As Chairman of the House Public Education Committee, Rob has worked tirelessly to reform and enhance public education in Texas and create a better learning atmosphere for our children. He understands the value of education having served our community as a junior achievement teacher, a school board trustee for 18 years and as a coach. Numerous education and business associations have honored him for his work reforming the public school accountability system in Texas because they know that his leadership has been key to improving our schools. |

Taxes |
Rob Eissler understands that skyrocketing property taxes have become a substantial burden on homeowners and have forced many families in our community to give up the American dream, home ownership. He is dedicated to lowering the burden and fixing homestead appraisals so that local governments can no longer hide behind unelected and unaccountable appraisal boards to institute stealth tax increases. Rob also supports a cap on state spending that limits the growth of spending to population growth and inflation. |

Border Security |
Rob Eissler believes that if the federal government refuses to live up to it’s responsibility to protect our border then it is up to the leaders of Texas to protect Texans. For too long, multinational drug gangs, human smugglers and human coyotes have used our porous and unprotected to border to import violence, drugs and crime onto our streets. Rob will fight to increase funding for new innovative technology to create a virtual border and better funding for prosecutors in border counties and the hard-working men and women of our border patrol. He will fight to end the policies that have lead to “sanctuary cities” and protect those who have come into our country illegally. |

10th Amendment |
Rob Eissler believes in the wisdom our founders showed when they added the 10th Amendment to our constitution. He knows the founders of this great nation strived to ensure that there was a balance of powers between the state and federal government. The federal government has increasingly infringed on the ability of Texans to run Texas. Rob is ready to fight back against Washington to protect the sovereignty of our great state. He was a proud cosponsor and major supporter of HCR 50, a resolution in the Texas House affirming Texas’ sovereignty under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. He has also affirmed his commitment by signing the 10th Amendment Pledge. |

Transportation |
Rob Eissler knows that Texas cannot continue to grow and prosper without the infrastructure necessary for commerce. For too long, the federal government has robbed Texas of important transportation funding and back here at home we to often hear that toll roads are the answer. Rob knows that the real problem is the diversion of tax dollars from the gasoline tax to programs that have little or nothing to do with transportation. He’ll fight to make TxDOT more efficient and transparent and work to end the diversion of gasoline tax dollars to fund programs other than roads and infrastructure. |
